Well- I did 32 miles today alone on my local trails- absolutely perfect outside to ride. Saw a few groups of atv's and bikes out there. Ran into papa john and his buddy and talked it up a while

Was a pretty nice and relaxing ride- maybe topped 14 mph max on any trail.

Talked to a grid worker also- said they closed most of the gates to keep hunter's vehicles out while they are clearing for the new transmission line. The first 2 miles of grid from my house are all cleared ! The pit down by the lake has a bunch of large dirt mounds in the middle of it that has now been turned into a dirtbike track- John said there was a group of 15 atv'ers that came through earlier...

Sounds awesome. Looking forward to hitting that area again with you sometime. I love LMFT but haven't ridden anywhere else in 5 months. The change of scenery sounds good.

Did you ever change out the synthetic oil? If so, did it get rid of the whirring noise we had been hearing?

Not sure. I'm in Texas all week and my machine is in the shop getting put back together after some idiot rolled it at LMFT. So if I get back in time Friday to pick it up I might be up for October Mt.

yep- I finally gave in and bought the $9 per quart Honda oil (the price is obnoxious )

I drained all the synthetic motor oil out and replaced the oil filter- put in 2.5 qts of the honda blend and no more whirling sound or clutch slipping

I read the back of the synthetic bottle- it says it's for corvettes, motorcycles and other high standard motors- I guess it's no good for honda atv's though

yes i did, it runs perfect after i cleaned everything out, i tried to make sure everything is sealed up with grease and such, im still kind of nervous that i might happen again, but only one way to find out also i got shipped rims with the wrong offset for the front so they stick out really far, idk if i'll just keep em, it rides really nice and looks good, but it leaves the front disks and ball joints exposed, and im not positvie about sat, but i want to say yes

I had this same problem when I put honda rims on my brute force- all I did was reverse the rims and swap sides and used a few washers between the rim and hub- worked perfect.
