I have found that most of the time local pd are usually pretty cool with atvers. I have hit the trails with many of them
. If you are minding your own buisness, off the road, and no loud pipe they usually just read you the riot act and tell you to beat it. I even have a hand written get out of trouble pass from one of the local cops
. The enviro. cops are the ones that cut you no slack.
Maby that has all changed with the new laws and fines. But that has been my experience in the past.

Yea but I thought you were on the side of the road, and the guys you were helping were running the road. Guilty by association thats all. Hate to say it but I bet if you did not help them it would of been a long time before you got a ticket.
I think it was about a 1.5 months ago Cudavic was telling me he was driving down the side of the road. Passed a cop who was parked watching traffic and all he got was a friendly wave
. Hows that for good luck?
Hubbardston is just like most of the towns in this part of the state. Lots of good trails. You just need to know someone local so you have a safe place to park.

Was it the douglas pd that gave you the ticket? My friend had the same thing happen to him in douglas in front of his house during a blizzard 2 years ago. Stupid!

I was a good 15-20' in the woods and actually walked up to them when I saw them pull up- had blood all over me from the barbed wire I got caught in.

Today we did about 43 miles up at Pisgah. Troyboy, CNC, BGirard, Me, Roadie, Paul. Really like riding this place. Has a bit of everything: Wide open trails, crazy technical rock climbs, fun woodsy trails. You can't get bored here. Special thanks to Roadie for breaking down so we had an excuse to leave early before the hurricane hit.
Here's some pictures:
