I used to live in Crystal Lake, Il. (near Chicago), and used to go to a place in Otawwa, Il. (off IL, highway 88). It was called the Bufallo Pit, or something like that. My friends said that they banned quads a few years ago, but it's worth checking into. It was some killer riding. Otherwise, I would drive to Michigan to Silver Lake dunes, or Badlands in Indiana, or Black River Falls, Wisconsin. I feel fo you, dude. Illinois absolutely sucks! They spend all kinds of cash for snowmobiler's and nothing for dirt bike or quad trails. Glad I moved to So. Cal. Later!

If anyone lives in the Metro East area of IL / St. Louis MO. Go to MIDWEST MOTOR SPORTS in Hartford IL. They are trying to help get land that is flood plain land turned into a ORV area. The land is located off of highway 270 and route 3. It is choetou Island. Since the only place to ride close by for us is ST. Joe State Park or Finger Lakes State Park. The city of Madison owns the land and they are looking into a possible ORV area. Well if you go to Midwest Motor Sports they have a letter already typed up and addressed to the Mayor of Madison saying that you are in favor of a new riding area and you just sign it and they will mail it in for you. People have been riding on the land earlier this year but the police started ticketing. But if we all pull together and voice are views we could make it a legal ride spot and the only one in the state.
