Default VT ATV Trails

I was looking into ATV trails in VT and was wondering if anyone is a member of a club or frequents VT. I have heard that if you are a member of a club, the club will sometimes have GPS trail maps of their trails.

They have a very good map of the whole state's trail systems that you get when you join a club. I didn't join. I have land in VT that a trail goes through and I tried them out about 4 years ago when they were just cutting them in. I think each club has their own maps. VTVasa.org is where there is a lot of information.

Correct me if im wrong, to ride in VT I have to belong to VASA as well as an ATV club, and register with the DMV? If this is the case, does that mean with a club membership and VASA membership I could ride any trail system no matter which club it belongs to? Im trying to figure out if it is worth it to register in VT or not. Is there as many decently long trail systems like in NH? My sister just bought in Lowell VT so im sure ill be doing some riding up that was as well. But living in CT southern VT is much more feasible for a day trip.

I believe that is correct. I ride in NH mostly and am a member of Sullivan County ATV Club. I've ridden all over the state. It's not an issue with the DFW guys. They're mostly concerned that you are registered. I doubt it would be an issue with the law enforcement in VT too. The registration in VT is something like $30 for 2 years. Even with the club and VASA fees it's still cheaper than riding non-resident in NH. If I ever build up there I'll probably join one of the clubs in the Barnard-Woodstock area. Especially with a trail going right through my property.
