Welcome to Alaska! You will find lots of trails up there. I have only been riding on the military bases near Fairbanks but guys stationed there say lots of good riding around the area. I live in Anchorage we have tons of trails down this way. Most are within a 2-hour drive. I don't think you'll have trouble finding great places to ride but it is cold! Good luck.

1. Boulder Creek (about mile 90 outside of Palmer)
2. Sutton
3. King River/Mountain
4. Bird Creek (short ride, but still pretty fun for a late-day trip)
5. Knik of course (best camping place, been going there to ride every fourth of July of my life)
6. Some of the state lands out near Tok are fun, good marshy muddy areas and hills and not much supervision by the state trooper pigs.
A while back a friend of mine had a big atlas-style book of all the big riding areas up here, dont recall what it was called or where he got it though. But it is out there.
