Thomaston Dam riding
#2
They were not last year. I think the CT riders on this board should get together, sign a letter/petition and send it to CT government about the dam. I'm sick of paying sales tax, proprty tax, registration fees in CT and they provide no place to ride.

I may be wrong, but if I remember right the Dam is managed by the Army Corp of Engineers. A dealer that is a friend of mine told me that the lower section, the area that they flood, was open to ATV for a few days last year. I've ridden the trails on a dirt bike a few years back and they are mostly singletrack.
Unless things have changes, so many riders head out on Sunday morning it was quite dangerous as with riders going the wrong way on trails. Since there are less places to ride now, I expect it's worse that it was years ago.
