madrowler,
Marienville, Pa is accross rt80 to exit 8 taking rt66 north through town for approx 11 miles further to the trailhead which is on rt66. From there, you can park and ride ALL day without getting lost...the trails are well posted with "you are here" maps at major intersections. You do need Oh or Pa registration and a helmet to keep out of trouble. Here's some further info and maps....Allegheny National Forest Trail Maps

About Wellsville, been there many times but just to let everyone know... I have a brother-in-law that works for the railroad and he tells me that if the railbeds keep getting ripped up by ATVs and Buggys that Norfolk-Southern Police and the locals are going to start cracking down HARD. Keep it in the trails and tread lightly. I guess some buggy broke some $40,000.00 worth of switching equipment or something.
