Default Southern Maine ATV trails

Good morning. Has anyone ridden these? How are they? I am thinking of heading up either tomorrow (Friday) or Saturday. Yes I belong to the Southern Maine ATV Club and I am registered in Maine. I was looking at their trail map they provided and I don't really see the trail head or parking areas. Could anyone shed a little light?

Thanks
Dave

A friend of mine belongs to Lil Ossippee Mountain ATV club or something like that. We've ridden from Waterboro all the way up to 1/2 way up Sebago Lake on the west side. We haven't been too far south of there though. It's one of the unfortunate things about Southern Maine. The maps they give you can be on the vague side. They use roads as connectors but don't always have the signs up. On the other hand the police are pretty understanding if you aren't on the right road. What we've done is talk to people on the trails for information. Also, there are gas stations that sometimes sell the area ATV maps for the clubs. Hope this helps a little bit.

I just dug up some information from one of our trips. The gps coordinates for parking at Ossippee Mountain ATV are N43 34.286 W70 42.285. If I can find the Southern Maine ATV club I'll get that to you.

If you go here, Southern Maine ATV Club -, you can get directions to their parking. Not 100% sure but it's on their website.

Thanks

I have been to their website and such but they are very vague, and their trail map that they sent me is even more vague :-)

I guess the Yankee mentality of, "If you need directions you don't belong here", applies.
