It's almost time for the Annual Scrub Run on April 21 in Carney, Michigan.

Last year's event was a very good time. The trails involved scenic highlands, private and public trails along with challenging mud bogs along the power line.

A great luncheon was served at the Long Branch Saloon in Faithhorn, MI at the midpoint of the right along with a top-off of gas for the return trip.

Is anybody from the ATV Connection going to be there?

There sure don't seem to be many people from the U.P on this forum.

Once in a while I see Mac and the other gentlemen from Hilbert with the Motel over near Newberry but that is about it.

They are probably too busy riding ATVs rather than sitting here talking about them.

 

Sounds like a good time, A few of us are planning a ride that week. Have to see about the weekend.

I yet to put on some pix from the rides I've been on with some fellow yoopers and cheeseheads but I don't know what to call them Minnesotaites. hehe I would lookd forward meeting some folks from up your way too hope yous can make the ride on the 21st of April. About 50+ riders went last year great time suppose to better this year according to Jiggenjack from Norway of the Porky gang.

Thor, how far to Carney??

 

About 305 miles. Take Highway 8 all the way to the UP and US 2 to Powers then 41 south to Carney.
It is about 5.5 hours to Norway/Iron Mountain where all of the motels are.

 

The fourth annual Scrub Run is only two weeks away! Last year there were 52 quads, all shapes and sizes, you should have seen some of the people too!
We are expecting 100 quads this year depending upon the weather. Last year we started out in 6 degree weather from Faithorn but ended the day in 60 degrees! Nothing like U.P. weather!
We dont drive fast, actually it it fairly slow going compare to rides I usually take but it is a nice change of pace to get out and meet alot of different people from around the area. Everyone had a fantastic time last year.
Of course, there are always the ones who argue that thier machine is better in mud than anybodys. They will have their chance at the power line mud hole where just about everyone gets stuck, and muddy.
I know I will see Thor and Odin, and Mac there. This is just a good time to get out four wheeling and meet some great people. Hope to see you there!

I am expecting a "BIG SHOW" from Mac this year with his new MUD tires. I bet Mac with drive right into the powerline swamp just like the last Yamaha rider, only making it threw the loon $hit this time LOL. I can't wait.
