Anybody ride in Vermont?

Hey Grizz,
A couple of friends and I went to the top of the Gibou last week. We headed onto the trail that goes over to Belvidere and made it maybe a mile up. My friend with the 200x 3-Wheeler was in the lead and he couldn't make it any further. I was following him, and I was spinning a little, but could have gone farther. My other friend was behind me on his Magnum 500 and he was still in 2 wheel drive so he probably could have gone all day. Now I'd imagine it is harder to go since we have had warmer weather. It will probably be another couple of weeks before the snow is gone up there, and that's if we get some warmer weather. Like I said, my parents house is at the bottom of the road and they still can't see grass on their lawn, so we still have a ways to go. I'll keep you posted on it, and maybe we'll meet up some time. I'd imagine that we probably can't get over the top of the mountain without some 4x4 help. Talk to ya later.

hey scavanau,
You can see part of our trail from a pull off right across from lake arrowhead on rt. 7. I think you might be able to unload there and hit other trails. It's pretty limited but better then not riding at all. We also ride in the woods of the lumber yard but they only let a few neiborhood people ride in there. i know the area your talking about. It passable in the winter but its a swamp by now. you end up on the gas pipe line if I remember right and come out near Bobs gun shop. Would like to try that canada ride with you some time, my son lives in swanton about half mile from grand union so would be easy to up. If your interrested in a night ride some time around here like me know and the next time we go I can let you know..

GreenMountnGrizz, I always appreciate an invite. Give me a good heads up when you're going out. scavanau@zoo.uvm.edu
I know the gas line you're talking about and that's different from my little area. Although, if I could figure how to hook them up it would be great. I don't live there and know the area just a bit.
Piranha, Decarreau is a popular name in Winooski but I don't recognize Jody. Keep that website updated!
Mark your calenders for May 19th. I'll keep everyone posted.

Tried to post last night but got an error...
GreenMountnGrizz, I'd love to go for a ride. Give me a good heads up when you plan on going out. I work a lot of long hours and not much time off lately. scavanau@zoo.uvm.edu

I'll put up a post here prior to the May 19th Canada ride and reiterate the specifics.
