Sorry to hear about your bad experiences. I've never been to Cochranton, but it sounds like an event that everyone should experience once in their life.
I'd just like to make everyone aware of our club's Spring Ride that is coming-up the May 4th-6th. We limit the number of riders to 250 and cover about 45 miles each day. We have a hospitality room on Friday evening and have mail-in registration.
I don't know that we can compete with the larger rides for number of indivduals, but we try to offer a better quality of riding. Check out our website for more information.
It's a little far for some of the folks from WV and PA to come but, we've had people from Houston TX, Miami FL and even a few from MN come and have a great time. Most of the people tell us that we have the best riding area that they have ever ridden. I won't get into that argument, but with 72,000 acres and over 200 miles of trails, its hard not to be proud.
Again, visit our web site for more information of the Windrock ATV Club Spring ride. Hope to see you here,

I personally had a great time at "THE" poker run.I have been going since year 1 and enjoy it alot. Takes alot to put this thing on and hope that all you guys making suggestions show up to flag the start line, mark out trails, and clean up garbage for weeks afterwards. Remember this is the world's largest poker run. Hope that all you complainers stay home next year and leave room for the real ATV riders in this great land we live in.

All in all, it sounds like a good time this year, just a few problems with crowd control and weather. Maybe, the authorities should look at holding the affair later in the month for weather and sell tickets in advance for crowd control. That way, they know how many people to expect and maybe the weather will be a little more accomodating. I'd certainly like to go there myself to see all the bikes and people getting together for something I love to do.

"cochranton is number 1 for someone that truly enjoys atving"
WHat the heck you smoking!?? The 25 miles of trails sucked! I just rode Salamanca, I burned 2 tanks of gas and I was on a dirt road for maybe a mile! And, 15 bucks!!!! THe party at Cochranton was 10 times better than the ride.
If you want a nice ride on your 4 wheeler, don't go to Cochranton, if you want to drink and party til 5 in the morning for a couple of days with 5-7 thousand people, then go to Cochranton. End of story...
