Default Wayne national forrest in Ohio questions

Recently purchased a side x side and wondering about wayne national forrest. Rules state 50 width maximum but many of various forums have stated the were going to make that wider this year. Also many have mentioned that wider machines have already been using the national forrest without any issues......So does anyone have any good accurate information about WNF as far as machine widths go? Thanks in advance for your help.

The best way to find out would be to actually contact them. I think a lot of trail systems have been widened in the last few years to accomodate utvs. 60" is standard width allowed for many of them now, your Kymco coming in a little narrower than that. The ultra wide machines like the Rzr XP and Wildcat 1000 still won't fit a lot of them, they're as wide as a small car at 64-65" wide stock. Those machines are made for wide open trails and dunes where the extra suspension travel can really be put to use.

Thanks for the reply.....been on there web site which still states 50" max and tried calling there but only getting a recording if any answer at all. The recording just refers you to the website. I was looking to hear from those that may have been there and know first hand if the wider machines (60") were allowed on the trails.

Just received a reply from Wayne National Forest in Ohio about increasing there max width beyond 50". For 2016 the 50" max will continue to be enforced, however they are in discussion about making it wider in the near future. So we side x side riders need to look elsewhere, can't believe the money they are loosing by restricting them to 50".
