A new cycle store just opened by me and he sells used quads. The other day I saw Two pickups hauling quads in Vernon.Thought about running them down and asking them but thought better of it.Come on guys share the knoledge.Where are you riding? If they sell them and haul them they must be riding them.

I hav'nt heard of any good riding in CT myself.I ride privite property right behind my house.I ride by myself cause all my friends leave their machines at our friends house in VT.For good riding I go up to Vermont (ST.Johnsbury)my atv is registered up their, but I've been reading in these forums that Mass. also has some great riding.Maybe I'll regester there too.We need more input from CT riders about legal places to ride.Danbury is about an 1hr from my house,waterbury,35-45min.

Full Throttle,
I heard that there are some good hill climbs in your neck of the woods in Durham. I never been there before, but that's what I heard. Where in Durham, I wouldn't know. I'm still looking for places to ride myself. I liked Cromwell, but the DEP always kicks people out with tresspassing fines.

ironbear,
Durham is about a 7 min ride from my house.I know their are trails around Durham which are hiking trails which people ride, mostly dirt bikes.I've hiked these trails (Mattabassett Trail)They are pretty intense. And there are alot of trails out my back door (water company;RWA)same thing here,DEP is all over them. Not saying I dont indulge myself on these trails now and again.I still would like to find some legal spots.

Fullthrottle,
It would be nice if we could all find a legal spot to ride and everyone from Connecticut can get together and go for a day of riding. Is Danbury a legal place to ride? Or is it just a nice place to ride, but allegal?

Maybe I should stop and tell the salesman at my local shop I'd buy a quad if he could show me a place to ride it.I'm to the point that it doesn't have to be a long trail as long as I can sit on the seat and get out of first gear.Does anyone know a farmer that might let us ride in the woods or a section of over grown pasture? We used to let people on our farm in Pa as long as they didn't tear everthing up.
