Jeff

I have only changed my oil once since I bought it, so knock on wood, no problems. I have seen several post in this forum and in another forum of people breaking the tank. From my understanding, the metal around the bottom where the bolt and the rubber bushing connect to the tank actually breaks away from the tank. I think this happens because the tank is thin metal and cannot take much abuse. I was very careful when I put mine back together after the oil change. I actually used a light coating of antiseize on the bolt in hopes of preventing this from happenning. Have you worked out a ride yet? I am more than willing to pick you up on Saturday .

The only requirements on out of state riders is that your bikes be registered. It still costs $5.00 per day and $25.00 per season. We rode there 8/4 - 8/5. We got in late on Saturday and rode the Door Loop from 8:00pm to midnight. It was great. The next day we rode the main corridor and it was a little difficult. We didn't go on the rock hill which is the most difficult we by took a bypass someone told us about and continued back on the main corridor. After you get through Snake Hollow, which was awsome riding, we encountered some areas that were rutted out quite a bit more than when we visited July 6. This is a great place to ride.

Sadly enough, the bottom of the oil tank breaking is a commom problem(where MuMan described). Rob's is a '99 model and has had many, many oil changes. Honda doesn't want to pay for it but our dealer is trying to pull some strings to get it paid for..it wasn't MY fault.
MudMan...we are thinking about the anit-seize now. I barely nudge that bolt tight(crank case bolt too) but it can be hard as sin to remove.
Coffee can huh Buckeye400ex!!!!! I'll have to remember that in case my tank breaks. (Thanks for the chuckle!)
I just hope we get to ride this weekend...I'll post and let you all know.

Mike

Does this mean that you are going to make it? We plan on meeting at the Main Corridor parking lot at around 9:45 to 10:00. Look for my dark blue dodge dakota quad cab.

Not sure what you mean by M-C Parking lot. Is that the "pop shack" parking lot at Monday Creek??? I thought that is the place, as there are no other food/drink venders in WNF(ON the trail, anyway).
Hope to see you and the SLB "crew" there tomorrow!

Yes, the main corridor parking lot is the one where the pop vendor is. See you there.

We'll be there around 9:30-9:45. The guys are working the midnight shift tonight so we can't make it any earlier than that.
We'll be pulling up in a big black Ford F-250!!
See you all then!!!!
Later, Sher
