I've heard of a place to ride in st jo. Where is it located at and how is the riding area? Is it a large area? Is is legal to ride there? I heard it was along the river. Is it worth the drive from kansas city? Thanks for the help guys.

If your talking about St. Joe's state park there is 2000 acres to ride on, 800 of it is sand. You can ride the trails all day long and still not hit the same trail. There's 4 lake you can also fish in also there is camping areas. All you need is a helmet, flag and 2$ to ride there. By the way there is another state park near Columbia called Finger Lakes. Right now you can only ride from 7am to 5pm.

Thanks for the reply. That isn't the place i was talking about but that is gonna be another place on my list to go sometime. This place is in St. Joseph missouri just north of atchison kansas. I heard that you can ride along the river and it's a good place to ride. We aren't ready to make a 6 hour drive to st joe state park but it will be in the future. We are just trying to find out if this place is legal to ride and we won't get towed or fined for going there. Thanks for the new riding place though.

Yes, there's a place in the city to ride, they just reopened it to ridin legally. It's got good hills, just not too many. Only a few hours of ridin is all we got and we hit about every trail. If you ride in kansas, why don't you just go to Lake Perry?

We drove to st jo yesterday. Got all the way there and saw the trails. They are right by the casino. There was a park ranger guy in the parking lot just down the road. He told us that the trails are closed permanently. He said the people were reported going up and down the road so the city closed them. He said that they will fine you if you get caught there. So we didn't ride at all there. We just drove all the way back to lake perry and rode the rest of the day. So don't go up to st joe to ride because there is no more riding. It kinda sucks that a few people screwed it up for everyone. Some people just don't use their head.
