Need information on St Helen scramble area and trails. Scramble area is suppose to cover almost 1300 acres. I would like to know what type of terrain. Thinking of going Saturday anyone game or I may ride Little Manistee it's closer to home.

I used to do quite a bit of trail riding in the St. Helen area on dirt bikes and even more exploring in trucks. There is just about anything you could want except rock crawling. Depending on the time of year the is some real good mud at Mud Lake, and when it's too full there are some interesting water crossings. Most trails and scramble area is sand, although trails do go through forested areas and low land muddy areas. Lot of hills near Ski Park and, damn, I can't think of the other area. Anyway, it is a real nice area. You need to know how to get there too?

 

Thanks for the info HoarsNest. Temps in the mid 40's maybe rain sounds like a good day for riding(no snow). I have directions thanks.
