Concerning wellsville being shut down, not to my understanding. We rode there just last weekend.I am local, just like BackSeatRider, and her facts are true. The locals know who is starting the trouble , and it is partly the one who did the charging a while back. There is a problem with people bringing junk, or stolen cars down there and burning them. Now for the road being closed, I just drove down there and it was the same as always. Finally, don't take everything you hear as fact, and beware of the hillbilly!!!

It may not be closed to locals who can sneak in, but what about the groups that have to drive in with 3-4 quads on a trailer. Where are we supposed to park without worrying about getting our trucks ticketed or towed? My impression is that the main trailhead that everyone parks at is off limits now. I even called the Saline Township Police department and they verified all the info I had. If you can give me sources to verify your information, I will be forever grateful because I want to ride there, but under the current circumstances, I can not justify a 3 1/2 hour drive to get busted for trespassing and possibly get my truck towed and quad impounded.

I don't kwow were sal.police are getting their info at, but like I said, when I go riding there I mostly drive my truck, and park there. If you don't feel safe parking there drive to the top of the hill and park. The only time I have ever seen the police there has been when there was an accident.I will be there this weekend riding so I will try to get some more info, and keep it posted!

Yes, please keep me posted. I have been there once and have to say the place is awesome. I just don't want to go on a Saturday, leave my truck and come back to find out it has been impounded and that I can't get it back till Monday.

Hey Maddoggy, here's the directions to get to the "Pits" in yellow creek.

Take 70 east to 7 north......take first Wellsville exit, at the bottom of the offramp, hang the first right and keep following the road on down in. You go past an industrial park, under an underpass and down a rough road that runs right along side the river. You will come to another underpass (tressel)just keep following that road. You will go past a campsite and up over some railroad tracks. Just follow the sounds of bikes & buggies.......LOL!!
