Hello all,

I was at the April 1st ride last year for Nemadji, and was wondering if anybody has anything in the works for this years' opener. This year, the first Saturday in April is the 6th, so I'm assuming most would like it pushed back to this date (as opposed to the 1st).

If you know anyone coordinating anything, or are interested in just going up, drop me a line.
It's only 61 days AWAY!!!!

I've got a ride planned for the 6th at Red Top. The guy who set-up last years ride is driving over the road now so I took it upon myself to organize this years opener. The reasons for going with Red Top being that several riders ended up with water in their gas last spring and everyone getting separated. If your interested, tell your friends. I know we all had a good time last year and it would be great to carry on the tradition that MNXplorer started last year. Next year we could set up for a different area if anyone has other interests that could cater to everyone interested.

Thanks for the info. I saw your thread after I posted mine. Red Top is fine for me, but is it going to be open on the 6th? I don't recall if the DNR kept it closed longer last time due to excessive water.
Anyway, I'll inform the crew, and stay in touch as the date approaches.

as far as I know, it opened on the first last year. I was there on April 8th and saw several other riders there. The water levels were what I would consider normal at that time for the location. With the shortage of snow this year, we shouldn't have any troubles.
