Thanks for the link, injun! This section should take a lot of pressure off the other three systems and give us 'hotel' riders a great weekend split between Gilbert and Man.

Done deal for me this fall.

I have heard that this event is a good one. How would a DS 650 fair on the trails(not sure of the terrain over that way) I normaly ride at Tower city how is it compared to that? I see there is going to be drag racing there!
Thanks

The town of Gilbert is in southern West Virginia. The Hatfield and McCoy trail system with over 300+ miles of trails is located in southern West Virginia. The Hatfield and McCoy trail system is considered one of the best trail systems in North America. Your DS 650 will do great. There are plenty of trails to open it up and let it breath. The well marked trails are well worth the drive.

Organ donor,
Your ds 650 should do fine. My freind had one for two years and he took it everwhere we went on ex's. There are some pics of it on my site. The link is wvtrailguides.org

mudevil,

Somebody on the H/M site gave me the impression that Gilbert was merely an access point for Rockhouse. Does the trail loop over to there and back or just a two way 'straight shot' to the system(if there is such a thing in W.V.).

Thanks,

John

Gilbert has just been approved as an access point to the Hatfield McCoy Trail system. When leaving Gilbert you are actually accessing the Rockhouse trail. The town of Gilbert has passed an ordinance allowing atv's to travel within city limits to access food, gas, lodging and entertainment. The trail ride planned for April 19,20&21 is a fundraiser for the Larry Joe Harless Community Center, there will be camping available on site although numbers are limited. Hope everyone turns out to welcome the trail to Gilbert. Go to www.ljh.org for info on the ride and check out the center.
