I have not rode there in a while and when we got there it was pretty dead, only a few quads around. We rode all day last Sat but around 4:00pm was saw a cop on the main powerline road checking out an abandoned truck so we turned around and on the other side of the place towards the parkway we saw a black pickup with flashing lights next to a few quads so we decided to head back to our cars and when we came out of a side trail onto the main road another black pickup right in front of us blocks off the trail and has flashing lights and it was the DEPA. THey were all over that place, when we were getting busted i counted 4 bacl pickups, all GMC Sierra's and an F-150. They were actually glad we didn't try and run and they gave us $75 fines but they said they will soon start impounding quads. You really can't get away from them, they have radios and they do have guns. I guess if you know George you can park and ride on his land but big deal, his property gets boring and is all wooped out. SO this place is done for me and it seems like a trend which is happening around here. There is almost nowhere to ride. I still want to ride Sarco and Gliddens but i know those places are soo damm risky because cops are all over those places. I cant beleive it has gotten soo bad around here for quads. THIS SUCKS!

 

F the POLICE....just do what i do...i park my truck between some trees and they can't tow it...the tickets were never huge but still not fun to get....usually a warning if i didn't run...gliddens i won't go near till i find a good place or if i were to go during the week....my quad is registered and insured so the only tickets i've gotten were trespassing....once you ride the NJ sand you'll never go back to trail riding

You think so, they have tow trucks that can pull a car out with only one foot of space on one bumper.

Im sorry to hear that ya got busted for just having a few hours of fun.Its unfortunate that our legal system is on such a rampage to lock us up and shut us down.Obvious some of them never had the proper childhood none less.Like I said THis state might as well be named Kalifornia Jr.If it was private land What the hell was DEPA doing on it?hmmm something doesnt sound right.Kinda scary now that they have that new satelitte to see environmental damage.THis could be bad for all of the true outdoorsmen an nature lovers.Time to get away from the Kalifornia tree hugging klintonites that live in NJ.lock em all up and send em to Cuba russia n China.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

hey guys i am new to the forum....anyway i live in staten island ride in jersey and it really sucks that you cant ride anywhere...i got caught at giddens about 3 months ago...havent gone back...there is a place in PA called paragon adventure park it is on the web if you want to check it out...i went ther wasnt to bad..the place is huge...pay $15 ride allday....there ia also a petition on petition online .com for a atv park in west milford....there is a big battle going on with that....for more info you could go to teamdunesatv.com
