Hey everyone, I am just wondering if a flag is required to ride at Christmas Valley?

I checked the rules for christmas valley dunes and didnt see a flag rule. Why would you want to ride with out one? My idea of a good time is not getting mowed over by a sand rail.

Because the day I brought home my 250R my friend flipped it over backwards and broke it where the flag would mount on the grab bar, and I was supposed to go tonight, but I'm obviously not going now

ltracerx,

Did you make your friend pay for what he broke? If he didn't, he isn't much of a friend. If your buddies are willing to ride your atv, but not fix what they break, then you should never let them get on it in the first place. ATV's are an expensive hobby, and I'm very cautious about letting anyone else ride my quad, unless they've got alot of experience, and if I can trust them. It's okay to ride another guy's quad, but you just gotta be careful. I'm always extra careful when somebody offers me to ride one of their new quads...anyway. Sorry your bike seems to be broken all the time.

Actually, everytime my friends break something they know my rule "you break it, you buy it" but I felt bad when he wrecked cause he landed on some rocks, and supposedly hurt himself pretty bad, so I didn't make him pay for it. It was also his first time on a true "high-performance" machine. It's not that a flag. And, my trike isn't really "broken", I've been riding it the last 2 days. Hopefully I can make it to Christmas Valley next weekend since I didn't get to go this weekend.

Hey Itracerx,
I have seen several guys riding without flags at Christmas Valley, but to tell you the truth it kind of makes me nervous knowing there could be some idiot coming up the other side of a dune that I can't see. Flags are definately cheaper than being airlifted to Bend.
