I'm looking for any info on new riding places. There's not much here in Ct that I know of. I read all the post in many of the forum and I get green with envy. You guys in the midwest, west, south, ect have some wonderful places to ride and go offroadin. Here on the Ct coast, the riding places suck. About the best I can do is when I go upstate New York (3 1/2hrs)to some hunting property (121acres). There are no really good trails, sand pits, mud pits ect...to just cut loose here. We camp, so if anyone knows of some good places that are do-able for weekend trips(Fri - Sun pm)I dont mind driving 4-5 hrs.

If u regster ur quad in mass there are several big state forests u can ride at, most of which have campgrounds. It would only be a 1 to 2 hour drive.

I'm almost positive you have to be registered in your home state in order to register in MA. It has something to do with the taxachusetts laws. MA non resident is $30.00 I think. The state forest you can ride in have camping as well, however I do not think you can ride from the campsites at all at least none that I know of.
Granville has some good riding on the pipeline off rt 57 and has campgrounds close by state and family style. October mnt has a campground right at the entrance. Little more then a mile to where you can park to ride.

My riding buddy lives in CT and he is only registered in Mass. You must have a Mass atv plate or they will ticket you. You can be registered in more than one state. Pittsfield State forest has camgrounds which you can ride from directly.

Thanx for the info. I will definitly look into it. There is not many places here in Ridgefield Ct to ride. My kids are very into the Honda Rancher we have and keep asking me where they can ride. I will check those spots out , thank you.
