You don't have to pay. A logging co. had a contract in that area...while they had there trailer and stuff there they charged people to ride there. It was a scam! I only lost $20, but some people paid more.
I was there on Sunday. It was really dusty. Maybe we can hook up some time to ride there...I'm in PA about 1.5 hours away. I do have to warn you, my buddy who went with me has a Polaris and after rolling it down a hill he wasn't too happy with me. I guess the hill was easier for me than it was for him!
Anyways...Wellsville is free so go and enjoy and be safe!

 

The only thing that is pay right now is parking if you choose to park at one of the new campsites located out RT 39. Be careful crossing the tracks and parking there, since they took the road out. If you are caught on the tracks, or riding along side them, you can get in trouble with the Railroad.
