Hello there where going to go down to wayne national forest and where going to the longridge section i was wanting to know what i im going to see terrain wise ive been to purdum and all them and not seen a fraction of them but thought i would try longridge. Also has anybody been there lately as fars trail grooming what condition where they in last time you where there and what to look out for while there and what to go see. Can you just about camp any wheres like the other sections of wayne, plus if you have any GPS coordinates for wayne that might help me along the trails let me know need all the help we can get it gets confusing and will the gps work down there being that the woods is so thick . hey well thanks for reading my long post. ride safe

I go to WNF most every w.e. Long Ridge is the most technical sections of WNF. Lots of off camber hills. Lots of mud. Cool place, it is my favorite part of the area. Camping is wherever you can set up. First come, first served. Sorry don't have the GPS coordinates. Someone over in the ATV Time, Eastern U.S. forum may have it. Good luck, enjoy!

 

Awesome now i really cant wait to go to longridge now sounds awesome. Mud i like Mud [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] lol. you think we ought get some type of GPS coordinates going for Wayne to kind map all trails by GPS Sounds like a good idea. Thanks for your reply

 

BG--- I am sure it HAS been mapped. Again, I would recommend going over to <www.atvtime.com>, and getting in the "Eastern U.S." forum. Ask there, I am sure someone can fix you up. Email "Resq" there, he has GPS coordinates. Tell him "4-MAN-S" sent you.
L.R. trails are pretty confusing, as they all seem to be marked the same, an orange diamond with a white dot! I STILL get disoriented in there, but only for a few minutes, then I usually find a familiar piece of trail. I have ridden the area for almost 2 years. Dorr Run inner loops are cool, too. D.R. is easier to navigate, as the trails are set up in an outer perimeter loop(blue dot) that is 17 mi. long, then there are 35 miles of inner trails. You'll notice that on your map.
BTW--- There are 2 or 3 trails that interconnect Long Ridge with the rest of the system. These are "illegal" trails, however. PM me, or email, and I'll try to describe one of them to you.
What part of Ohio are you from. I live near Delaware.

Im 50 miles from cleveland kinda in the middle. So how is the weather down there right now the forecast isnt looking to good for this weekend i hope it changes.

 

Right now, Sat. looks to be the best day. Who knows. The weather man sure doesn't! It'll be cool, as in around 45-50 deg. high temp. May get showers Sunday.
We'll be camping at Camp Ohio, Fri---Sun. Drop by and say hi. There'll be a banner with "WNF Gang" on it, and several drunks wondering around it.
