Danbury, WI Rides
#1
Hey MudStud, mudbogger, etc...
I just came across your 7 page thread about your Danbury rides. Thought I'd start a new one to keep it from getting too long. I've been going up to the Danbury/Webster area for 20+ years. Last summer was the first time I had an ATV to ride up there. I rode the trails from the Fishbowl out towards Webb Lake (the stuff on the map they made), but I don't really know where else there is to ride up there. A guy I know up there told me there are tons of trails to ride both north of there and over in MN, but without a map it's tough to find them. One of these weekends I need to hook up with you guys so I can learn some new trails. Next weekend doesn't work for me but hopefully sometime soon. Keep me in the loop...

well we had a great time on sundays ride, had 6 of us with rep from almost every brand of ATV. We rode the trails near web lake and put about 70 miles or better on the machines. It was a little cold but not bad if you were dressed for it. By the way to all ATV riders that want to get bite to eat in the town of web lake stay away from the bar resturant that is across form the Main store, dont remember the name but they dont seemed to be very interested in serving anything to ATV'ers. They just plain out didnt want our money, DO go to Roamers down the road, they had great service and appreciated us and made us feel welcome, Thank You Roamers! We will be doing this ride again real soon, keep your eye on the posts.

Sounds like fun, I can't wait to get up there. Another great place to eat is the Fish Bowl. It's located north of Danbury on 35 at the very west end of the trails. They are very friendly to ATV'ers, in fact there is a parking lot just north of the bar where you can park your trucks, trailers, etc. They also have maps of the "official" trails in Burnett county. If you go there, be sure to try their burgers, very large and very good. The Whitetail Lodge is another good place to eat, it is on 35 between Webster and Danbury. Unfortunately there aren't any trails to get an ATV down there, but it's still worth the drive. Stop on Saturdays for their "Big Buck" drawing.
Man, just thinking about being up there, I want to go now. I haven't been up there since deer hunting in November. Too bad it's such a long drive (5 hrs).
