Lets see. My Dad is getting back on the 23rd and staying for a week. I'd sure love to go out and ride with you guys sometime during that period. I'll have to call my Dad and see if he's interested.

I've never ridden a Rancher, but my little AC 250 2x4 goes pretty good da snow

Hi Pastor. It wouldn't be any fun if you didn't respond

I will conceed that the Bomb is faster. Outside of that, we will agree to disagree. I really didn't do a hunt for issues with the Bomb. Just was interested in a comparison between the two machines. The people doing the review picked the Polaris. I'm sure others pick the Bomb. It all really just supports what Rockman said prior. I think there is somethign to that. It will be interesting to see if Polaris does launch a true 800 in 07 and if it does, how it stacks up.

Ragged where are these pictures we have heard about?

Quote: Ragged, hope you remember to show everyone the picture you took for Can Ham guy. Too bad he couldn't make it up the hill with his machine. GWP, thanks for giving me the first hand view of the Polaris skid protection, looks first rate

xploridaho....GREAT RIDE!! .....HERE IS THE LINK.....to the pic of the road less traveled...lol....I really thought it was an easy climb....the shaily rock did make it a little interesting but not an issue....you better be the one to fill these bomb boys in on what happened in the real world and not in a magazine review....

Im just glad he was able to back it back down the hill with out rollin it...that would have surely been carnage...especially if those frames are as light as they say they are....theres no dought after watching him make 2 attempts at it that it was the Poo weight and suspention and superior power that helped it climb so much easier...the "other" bike seemed to be bouncing all over the place and couldnt keep the tires on the ground....

what was the icing on the cake is when GWP decided to go up with his little 700 Poo (is that only a 640 or somthing??) when the "other" quad was stuck on the hill and not only passed him but went off the trail into the wet grass and still climbed to the top!!! I think that guy was ready to put his bike in neutral and let it go to it death..lol ....(wasnt it funny the smack he was talkin and how he was so prowd of spending what he did for the best ATV on the market...he said he was going to come and check out our thead ...but after his bikes lack of ability...my guess is we'll never see him on here...lol....to bad he was a pretty nice guy...Ill bet his hoping he wakes up and it was all a figmant of imagination...

I just wish I could have had the sence to pop a couple pics of that 700 sportsman with all 4 tires pointed at the ski....lol....man your lucky you didnt get hurt GWP...oh ya you did...hurt your pride....ROTFLOL!!!!! Glade there was no carrnage buddy...Good to ride with you again Mike.....word is a roll like that woulda totaled an ordinary bike!

Viper....good meeting you ...nice lookin bike...you keep that dude clean! Just do me a favor and DONT mount a horn on it ....geeeeezzz

I'll see if I can get a few more pics up soon..

you missed out Jay and pastor...but it may not have been your kinda ride if you know what Im sayin...I wouldnt want to believe the things I described in my last post if I rode the "other " brand bike ...I just wouldnt believe it! Id have to keep the dream alive....but....since I was on the seat of the poo at the top of the hill watching the antics...all I can say is.....well....naaaa.....I cant do it......tell um Viper.....

Good stuff there Ragged. Looks like a great ride and those shots of the lake are beautiful. I like the one of Viper charging right on in there. Lots of good shots there. I bet your Dad and brother in law will never forget that ride. So hook us up with the story there Viper. This should be good. I'm wondering if people like salt with their crow or....

Man alive Pastor I think that MBD got you pretty bad . . . . have you seen a doctor about that?? I am sure that a little riding on a POO could help ease your pain a little! There never has been anything better than Polaris and there never will be anything good enough to compare to a Polaris!

Well it WAS a phenominal ride on Tuesday. I can't wait till the snow melts and we can find a few more challenging parts of the trail . . . snow was the biggest challenge. I wouldn't call the little hill that Ragged and I climbed much of a challenge . . . . but then a gain the poor guy who was MBD bitten found it pretty challenging, I felt really bad when he had to back down the hill all he could do is just spin his wheels. I thought for sure after all the power he had he would walk right past us up the hill . . . . boy was I surprised. . . . I guess my research and homework is done!! I am sticking with Polaris baby!

Yes for everyones information. . . . we were talking about how bullet proof Polaris really was, someone asked about the skid plates and I thought I would show them up close and personal how good the Polaris was.

Here is the truth, I was the last to make it back to the gravel pit and saw a couple others playing around doing donuts. I thought I would join the fun, I have done "Batman slides", fish tails, donuts, even bicyles (on 2 wheels sidways) all these things before so I didn't even think twice about doing it again, especially in all that loose gravel . . . . WRONG!!! I learned a vaulable lesson this day!! I turned the wheel and gave a little gas, shifted my weight and started the slide, man-o-man it was going to be a good one, started to get up on two wheels . . . . no biggy, but then the unexpected happened I started flying through the air . . . . wiat it isn't supposed to be like this . . . it all happened so fast. After a combination of flying through the air and sliding in the gravel, I came to rest about 15 feet from the quad. Dazed and bewildered I immediatly jumped up and my arm stung and hurt like never before. I saw the quad and paniced, as every one ran over to me, my first words were "flipped the bike, get it back on its wheels" I was panicing, I promised my brother that I wouldn't do anything stupid or crazy on his quad and here it is upside down. I moved my arm a little to make sure everything was still attached, no broken bones . . . Praise the Lord for that one. . . . just a very bruised ego, gash across my elbow and a little scrap on my hand, hip, and knee. Now a day later I am feeling pretty dog gone sore! Have you ever seen a 240 lb man fly and land on gravel?? It ain't perty and it sure didn't feel good. The lesson learned here: no matter how many times you have done something, it is never the same. The moral of this story RIDE SAFE AND DON'T BE A STUPID HOT HEAD!

Any ways I have put the bug in the wife ear for the 8th of July, she says she "thinks" I can go, I am promising that I will come back in one piece!

I was great getting to know you Exlpore and Viper, I look forward to future rides!

Y'all take care and God Bless!

Oh and BTW my accident all happened 15 feet from the back of the tailer at the END of the ride . . . . almost made it the entire day with nothing life threatingly exciting!l

GWP- shouldn't your signature be flip side instead of stuck?
Ragged- You spend $10,000 on a toy and you believe what you read and are told by the salesman, then reality strikes, you try and put all that knowledge to use on a little hill and you find out the rider, not the machine makes the biggest difference. Poor Can Ham guy.
Viper, work on the getting off on the 8th, tell Rob to do the same.
Is anyone going to camp on that weekend? Would be alot of fun to get us all together for a camp out and ride. I just hope my little baby bear can keep up with those big bad Poos and Can Hams.

So,,,,,One guy sucks as a rider, and that proves Polaris is best. gotcha. I'll bet I could have driven up that hill in 2wd.
Even when Polaris dealers ask you to buy one of their other brands so they can avoid having an angry customer, Polaris is best. (That, by the way, is why I own a Honda. Bought it at the Polaris dealership.) Even when the Polaris machines are getting stuck in the snow all day while the Suzuki's, Bombs, Arctic Cats, and even old Hondas aren't, that just proves that polaris is best because they are, after all, heavy so they can cross streams, tow giant trailers, and crash into rocks better than any other. I'll be darned, Polaris must be best I think I will go get me one,,,,,,,Oh wait,,,,I've already had two. That was enough'(

I started a new one for everyone that wants to talk about rides etc without fear of being bashed.

Sorry, none of the buttons work for me and I'm too lazy to put in the code my self, so you'll have to cut and paste.
