Well, now I'm in the doghouse. Went riding yesterday with one of the guys from church. He does not own any 4 wheelers and so I let him ride one of my Rincons. We took along his 10yr old son and his 8yr old daughter. He has owned quads in the past and so I figured he would do ok. WRONG. He turned it upside down on top of his daughter!! She was not hurt other than some minor bruises, they were only backing up at 2 or 3 mph. Her mother gave me the seriously unfriendly doghouse look this morning in church though. She is ticked and I'm guessing that all quad riding is over for my buddy.

 

Jay....wow! I trust everyone was wearing a helmet. I learned the hard way about that. Hope everyone is O.K....Pastor

 

Well Ragged and GWP, it was nice meeting you guys. Too bad we didn't hook up to ride. We rode up that steep trail next to your camp at midnight not realizing how steep it was. Scary! Got drenched Sunday and we were well past Lavern Saddle.

 

AJC ~ I was good to meet you and Mike. I went by your camp sunday morning and you were allready gone. You must have skeedadled out pretty quick. We have all summer long, we can catch up with you again some time. As for your Eton, you shouldn't hurt your self to badly.

We had uneventfull but fun filled weekend up on the north fork of the cda river. Ragged learned that you can't cross the river in 2 wheel drive. My brother was practicing how to get his front wheels off the ground and after a few attempts did a pretty good job. Ragged and Chris spent a total of about 8 hours floating down the river in the canoe 3 times in 2 days, while I was eagerly pacing at camp wanting to ride. You can only ride around that medow so many times before you get dizzy! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] My wife got to go on her first ride, she is hooked and wants a SP500 now. She doesn't like the road and at one point made the statement "When are we going to get off the roads and having fun?". She tells me she really likes the technical types of riding. We were supposed to leave and make it back in time for church, but by the time everyone was up and running, I would have had to go 90 to nothing to get back and ready in time and I decided that I didn't want to kill myself and my wife trying to make it back. So we stayed and left with everyone else. Took lots of good pics, had to give them to Ragged to download since I am not up on the Inet at home yet and have no way to upload here. . . I mean at work. GWP I thought that only girlfriends ride quads. My wife has a nice new Rincon that she pretty much just wont ride. She would rather rearrange the furniture in the living room than go riding. Oh well,, at least she doesn't nag me about how often I go.


I met a couple of Grizzly riders up at the Nettleton Gulch parking lot and told them about this thread on this website. That would be pretty cool to go riding with them as I have never seen a grizzly in action. Looked like pretty cool quads; Obviously inferior to a Honda, but should be a pretty good match against the Polaris machines. heeheeheehaahaahaahoohoohoo[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Jay ~ Well I am blessed with a wife of MANY talents!! She likes camping 4 wheeling, I haven't taken her hunting or fishing yet but I am sure that as soon as I do she will like them too. She like shooting the guns though! My wife took a couple of pictures of Ragged, my brother and I all lined up doing wheelies. Its an awsome thing to get this BIG BAD Hondu eating plolaris up on two wheels![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] Those Grizz are mean looking machines and I wouldn't mind riding with them either. Hopfully they will check this thred out. It would be a interesting ride. . . . Polaris, Yamaha, Honda all togather!! I would like to set up another ride out to the canfiled trails again with some extra go-go juice and see just how far some of those trails go.

I get off work Thursday AM and then will be off for six days. I'm good to go!! I like the idea of the long ride, would like to start early one day and really check out the area. I have a GPS map that I am working on. Each time I ride there I will download the route I took and I stop and waypoint mark trails as I go. It gives me a pretty good idea of the lay of the land and allows me to plan rides, like the one I took you guys on. I had a pretty good idea of what kind of riding you guys wanted to do, and how much time I had to ride with you, and so it worked out pretty well. I want to get up there with all day to go, and really scope out the possibilities.
