GWP;

Good to hear from you brother. Sucks about your steering. Maybe just buying the part and replacing it would be an option if the part isn't too much. As much as these things get rolled over, (Especially on those overweight, ill handling Polaris machines), I would think that steering stems would be a fairly common part for replacement. Might be easier than trying to weld without melting wires.

Maybe if you didn't have every add on light and doodad known to man wired through there........heehee.........

As far as coyotes go, we gotta go hunting.

well...well...well....look whos back! lol...nice to see ya could make it Mikey........your right ...you better get busy and get it fixed..hunin season isnt around the corner ..ITS HERE!

Shot my bear tuesday at 8:20 am.....only 2 1/2 hrs on the stand...kinda disapointing....it was kinda like sex...when ya know you gonna get some and theres the antisipation ...and the harder you work the better it is...but shootin this bear after all the prelims of the hunt was like premature ...well you know.....pretty disapointing...and instead of rollin over and going to sleep...the work was just begining...cut and drag...thank God I could get the quad with in a hundred yards!

sorry if this was a PG17 post ...lol ...but it sure seemed like a good analogy...

Ragged;

That is why I like varmint hunting better than big game hunting. Shoot one, ,,,,shoot another one,,,,,repeat till tired...
Better not make any analogies on that I guess. Congrats on the bear though!!

A few of us coasties are going to Juniper dunes. We are going October 8-10. Does this interest any of you eastern/ Idaho riders? I see you are more 4x4 mountain riders, but the dunes are a mountain made of sand.

Juniper is in the Tri-Cities area if you didn't know.

Ragged-So we are wondering exactly how to get up to mica peak in washington. Where do you enter and where do you get the passes to go ride?? We are hoping to get a ride done up htere before the year is out. We will see what happens!!

We rode up to grandfather mtn last weekend. Boy was that a fun ride. Not very long but still was fun.

Kori....I know you can pick up the pass at the Smoke shop(shell station) at the state line on trent...There are alot of places but thats the only one I know..

Then take the pines exit south to elder rd ...go left...take elder to star....turn right....take star to the gate that goes up the hill...park there....Go around the gate on the quads and go to the top at the tower...the trail is on the left or the tower..

Have fun...Give me a call I might be in!

AMan O Man is it hot here!!!! I am writing from Lackland AFB TX and its 97 degrees here. I like the cooler 60-70's at home much better. I am here for a couple of weeks for some training. I can't make my next promotion with out it . . . so here I be.

Ragged aka BK ~ NICE analogy!! If you would have waited for one of the parents to come around then may-be there wouldn't have been so much disappointment!! What you gonna do with the hide?? As for hunting this year I have made a week long date the week after Thanksgiving for a Elk hunt with my Bow. We will see if this rookie can bring home some meat or not!! I am stilling planning on going out with you and Chris to Terry's though for deer season.

Jay ~ I don't know if I want to tear into my quadfar enough to replace the part that broke. It would involve disassembling the front end. I would almost take my chances up top and see what can be done. Ragged has volunteered one of his other friends to help with the welding part. When it gets fixed I am hoping to reinforce it so I don't have a repeat, should I find my self in the same situation that broke it in the first place!

AKK ~ I am sure that there is a way to Mica from your side of the state line but I haven't taken the time to find one. To get the IEP (Inland Empire Paper) permit you will need to go to their main offices durring bussiness hours and buy one. You can buy a individual pass or a family pass. They are located on Argone (sp) North of on the right side of the road just before you cross the bridge over the Spokane River. They are a m-f 8-5 company. I have had a hard time getting over there when they are open.

Now to get to Mica you want to drive South on Pines Rd, it will turn into Hwy 27. You will turn left on Elder Rd. then left again on Star/Signal Rd. Once you get to the gate find a place to park off the road and take the quad up the gravel road a couple of miles to the top of Mica. On the way up there are multiple oportunities to go left or right I have explored a few of these trails but not many. Once your on top, pick a trail and go. If you stay on the highside of things you can and will make your way over to signal hill on the ID side of things. Makes for a good day of riding. If you really want to make things intresting look for MX trails going up or down the hill while you are on the trail. It will give a High pucker factor and some entertainment for anyone watching! Happy Trails.
