Ragged - Greenbank is on Whidbey Island, no riding without traveling 1.5 hours, except the track in my backyard. I haven't been to Juniper, yet. I am planning a trip with a friend for the the weekend after Memorial to either Moses or Juniper. Would like a little more info on Juniper before I go. Big dunes, or sand bumps like Moses? Can I take the motorhome or will it get stuck in the sand? Any hassels driving across private property to get to the dunes?

 

Ragged--me thinks that you just need to go with "Big R". Naw, everyone inthe inland northwest will just simply know you as Ragged. When someone says Ragged, we all know who is being talked about. Ha-Ha, just ribbin' ya' man. Hey, I think that I'm gettin' one of these here things sometime this week. Thanks for the link from Snowest. I think that this will be just as forum-a-holic-ing in the summer. And since I'm the video king, I even have a quad vid. It's pretty cool, lots of jumping, freestyle, and desert stuff. Might be getting another one this weekend.

If you want to test drive a couple Polaris rigs let me know....I think you would like either of the ones I got. Scrambler 500 HO or the Sportsman 500 HO. Sport trail or work trail.

Hey there man--I might do that since I'm kidless this weekend. I'm seriously thinkin' of headin' to the store tomorrow morn. and trying to get into a grizz. We'll see. What time is Corey heading over? I might have to take you up on the demo. OR if Mr. Grizz shows up, I might just bring it over. I dunno yet.

 

Flit...I know I am intruding between ragged and yourself but I wanted to give you some advice: test drive something OTHER than polaris! I would suggest the Suzuki Vinson....slightly cheaper and a far more versatile machine than the 500's. Last year, Vinson was editors choice in the 500 class in more than a few publications. Just wanted to give you some food for thought. Whatever you do...don't tell Ragged that I wrote this to you....he "loves" polaris. Pastor[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Pastor-thanks for the input. I'm aware of the "love" that he has for polaris. I have ridden a Vinson a little bit last fall. A buddy of mine got one and I rode it a little while we were hunting. The only thing that I really bothered me about it was you had to rock it and fumble around with it to get it out of reverse. That seemed like a pain. I dunno if it was just his or if it was a little quirck that they had. I have also ridden a couple of different Polaris's. I have ridden a '99 sportsman 500 and a '02 magnum 500. To me both of them seemed big to get in and out of tight places. Those are just my humble opinions.

Listen hear guys.....POLARIS wrote the book on quadin! And that s a fact! There are alot a good bikes out there....but their all wanta beeees. Polaris had no top end sport bike till the Predator came along and now its the top sport factory bike! The Sportsman has ruled the roost for years!
Pastor you got a great quad and it has some nice feachers but we realy need to get to the mountain so you can see what your missin![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
Im sure you'll love what ever you get but what ever you get make sure it has a automatic transmission and independant rear suspension! If you want to play in the mountains thats the best combo!
