Hay South Florida Riders!

We live in Broward County, and are always looking for new places to explore
and are willing to trade a few of our fav. places.

What type of riding is in Miami/West Dade?

I have been out to 8th Street and Krome
(near the Indian Bingo) -
muddy ride is awesome,
but I felt nervous about leaving my trailer and rig out there ...
is theft a problem there?

Are there other ride areas?
Ever heard about "The Humps"?
What about the "Couple Mile Long Tunnel?

Thanks

Gary C

ILoveMyMudder, I went out to the Humps yesterday but turned around it was flooded out and really muddy my Rap wouldn't of made it 10 feet from the trailer without getting stuck for sure, and my quad is like a cat, it's doesnt like the water. But your 4x4 Big Bear would of loved it.

Good place to ride in the Everglades area is a place called holy lands or A.K.A Routenburger. Ive been taken my raptor as long as i can remember and tearing it up out there. Its a big Completly legal place with great people there year round and Thousands of miles of flat or rugged trails. Please bring gps if ur thinking of a trip 5 or more miles off the dirt road. You can get there by taking State road (or U.S) 27 north until u reach a small little Trailer on the side of the road selling boiled peanuts. Pull off the main road onto the small 2 lane road by this trailer and follow it all the way down until u reach a dirt road. You should see people jumping this 20 foot elevated dirt road or just Lots of trucks. If u live farthere north then fort lauderdale Then you have to go south on 27 until u reach it. Im the only 16 year old out there with a red and white raptor. For serious mudders (Personally i like trail riding and hitting the mud) then i suggest the front as soon as u get off the paved road and into the dirt road. For trails i recommend going down either side of the dirt road (Theres 2 one elevated one low separated by a canal). Follow the dirt road for about 5 miles until u reach a pump house or just the only big building on the dirt road. Serious trail riding there but i reccomend getting use to the area the sawgrass can exceed 4 feet high and its easy to get lost if u dont no what ur looking for. If u get lost look for the dirt road or telephone polls. There are 2 sides one is illegal certain times of the seasons the other is open all season round. The part u should stay out of until u no it is legal is on the right side if ur looking just coming to the pump house. DONT FOLLOW OTHER RIDERS INTO THE AREA (unless you are absolutly sure its legal). If u have any questions there are park rangers frequently passing by out there just flag one down he will sure to help. Speed limit on the dirt road is 10 mph so be safe and wear a helmet.
