WHAT HAPPEND TO 287 in NJ
#1
I forgot what the trails are called, but there by the sharp building on 287 in NJ where it meets the NY throughway. I went there this week and its all fenced in now and there are no tresspasing signs up now. Looks like people already tore some of the fence down. I heard my friends say that there were people riding there just last weekend. Has this been like this for a while and people still chance it??? The no tresspassing signs look brand new. I wonder if someone got hurt there or something. Curious to know if anyone still rides there.
Thanks

stay away from sharp and dont ride in the river. 2 weeks ago, some dope decided to go river riding but he didnt make it very far. anyway he had to abandon his quad in the river. all the commotion brought the cops there. they didnt bother anyone except for the dope who got stuck in the river. they impounded his quad and gave him a handful of tickets. bottom line: stay out of the river and sharp and the cops are very cool.

i dont know, but i was speaking to the cops and they were very nice and dont care if we ride there as long as we obey the two cardinal rules, no river and no sharp. oh yeah, it probably is a good idea to be registered although there were alot of bikes there with no plate and the cops did not seem to care.

Hi- New to the forum. This place sounds good. I only ride in South Jersey areas right now. But, I live in Central Jersey and would love a new place to go. Is it still o.k. to go there? If so, where exactly is it?

the cops are not letting anyone ride there anymore. they have been there for the last couple of weekends to ticket people from what i have heard. apparently someone got hurt or something and now we cant ride there anymore. i also heard some people got their quads impounded and had to pay heavy to get them back. not worth taking the chance there anymore. looking for new places though.

I usually go to Sarco. I guess that's in Forked River area. I'm not really sure. I only know the way by memory. I've been going there the last 2 years. Never had a problem although I heard of many people having one. I don't go on the days when school is out. That seems to be when the cops are around because all the kids are there. I only had one time when the cops were stopping everyone. But, I know them woods like the back of my hand. I was fine and got out without being bothered. The only downfall is that I know it so well it gets boring after awhile and would like someplace new to go to. I have some friends that go to Sayerville but, they give steep fines there if you get busted. I can't take the risk of being in the poor house for months. Plus, it's really muddy there and I have a 2 wheel drive. I'd rather go fast then get stuck any day.
