Default Tug Hill, NY riding?

Last year my father and I found some cross country ski trails near the Timberview Lodge on Tug Hill and also above the Snow Ridge ski resort. They are great trails and seem to be beaten down pretty well, but nobody seems to know whether or not they are legally open to ATVs. Does anybody here know? I certainly do not want to lose more land because we're trespassing. Thanks in advance. *Winter Rules*

I tried that site, but nobody has responded yet. I also tried trailconditions.com, dirtrider.net, and emailed the guy from absoluteatv.com and the owner of the Timberview Lodge. So far you're my only response. At least I have time to wait for an answer; there's still snow up there. Thanks for you help though. *Winter Rules*

I called High Market Inn and a they said the trails are all open. Last weekend there was snow on the North road, but the 4 X 4's made it. If you are not sure go to absolute atv and check out their accommodations area and call the numbers at the motels etc. I hope this helps.

Hi hoosier,
Where can I get more info on Highmarket's poker run on May 17th? A bunch of us are planning a trip to Tug Hill on May 16th to 18th and are interested in the poker run.

Im not for sure where to get info on the web. But if you get to the Highmarket Inn that morning you can, they start signing up at 10:00 in the am. they give you the spots where to go and they have a chicken bar b que afterwards.

krabidKVF650:

My husband and I belong to the Highmarket wheelers We have not received their mailer yet. However, as others have given you the date. You sign up at the Highmarket Inn. Jake will then give you a map and a # postcard to take with you and have stamped. I think last year it was 10.00 a person. We were also trying to remember if you had to be a member. However, last year non-members were riding. If/when I get more info I will send it along.
