Default Rhino snorkel materials help

Rich, My snorkel plan is to run the snorkels up the center rear roll cage and point the openings toward the rear at roof level. I'm hoping it will lower the intake noise racket. I'm concerned about discarding the cooling fan at right side of motor. Should I put the black plastic cover back on with no fan inside? Or chuck the plastic cover too? Les
ps-Thanks for your parts source help.

Default Rhino snorkel materials help

Rich, How much cutting of my engine cover will need to be done to get my 2 1/2" snorkels out the back of the motor and up the center rear cage? Les

Les that fans only purpose is to blow air at the exhaust and the rubber exhaust hangers. The only thing that you'd have to watch is the rubber exhaust hanger melting and braking on the passenger side, and if it does you just put a new one on. I'd take the fan off and put the cover back on. That fan is taken off to make room for many of the rhino upgrades such as a supercharger and 2nd alternator kit. The 08 rhino no longer have the fan mounted on there, but I've never seen one up close to see what they've done to the mount/area.
As far as the engine cover cutting, you'd have to take it step by step and cut out what you see is needed. Rich
