I got my coverage through Progressive Insurance online. It's about $200 a year. Trust me, you don't want to be without insurance when your quad gets stolen. It's a sick feeling that doesn't go away.

I've got a question here, If your quad is stolen on your property, say out of your garage isnt it covered under home owners insurance like a lawnmower or anything else. In CT people dont register them because you pay and we have 0% state trails available so it would only be taken from my property. What do you think

ct, check with your homeowner agent. Some say they will and some dont. It is kind of like a car, if your car is stolen out of your garage it is not covered by homeowners, but by the auto policy.

But, it does depend, different states treat atv's differently and so do insurance companies. Sometimes you can add a floater (I think that is what they call it) to cover the atv.

My homeowners will not cover the atv, so I have different insurance, for 2 banshees it is about $250 a year.

That was my exact situation. My homeowner's would NOT cover it, even thought it was stolen from my locked garage.

About 6 months ago my uncles Truck was stolen in broad daylight in front of his office He was going to the camp that afternoon after work so he had his 4-wheeler and 6 guns in it.......The cops took 2 weeks to find it when they found the truck all of his gun were in it just like he had left them but the bike was gone finally found the bike with 216 extra miles on it about a week later...So a week and a day man you were lucky....I want the guys that stole urpreys to steel mine.
