I currently have my Rappy's engine out being built and I'd like your opinions on what changes to my combo, if any, I should make before I give it the go-ahead.

11.5:1 105mm J.E. piston (727cc)
Carrillo connecting rod
Stage II Hot Cam
Kibblewhite valve spring & retainer kit
Full port and polish
31mm intake valves
33mm exhaust valves
HD clutch kit
Hinson clutch basket
"02" tranny upgrade
Graydon Proline pipe
Stock carbs (for now)

Any changes I should make? Any guess on final HP figures?

I would have the crank assembly dynamic balanced. The hp will depend on the port work and if you change your exhaust.

Good suggestion on balancing. I take it that you don't like my choice in exhaust?

I'd go with a megacycle cam and all the same valves for more of a even flow

Only problem I see is that you are trying to re-use your stock carbs. Not going to flow enough fuel.

Now I have a question for you.
How much do you plan to spend for all of this?
my estimate would be around $3500! Plus transmission
In my opinion your reliability will be greatly diminished.
HP should be in the 60's
good luck

You're pretty close on your $ estimate. Carbs will come when my wallet recovers.

I would hate to see you burn up those pretty new valves from running lean.LOL Personally I would wait until I could afford new carbs to start. But that's just me.

The exhaust will work fine but it will probably make a lot of the power down low and will effect the hp number you end up with. It all depends on where you want to make power.
