Default Riding over water

Has anyone on here rode through/over water on a Raptor successfuly? We were out riding last year and since we don't typically see a lot of rain, I decided to try something I never got to do before. There was a shallow water hole about 50' across where we parked, we started by sliding around the edges slinging mud and water. Then the inner neanderthal in me remembered seeing guys in these videos flying across the top of the water. My son did it on the 25 no prob. Everytime I did it the Rap would turn hard left, after about three tries if this I went harder on the last run. My brother was behind me and described it as spectacular and something like this , A wall of water with the Raptor going sideways, engine roaring. But when I saw the bottoms of your boots I didn't think you were going to be able to bring it back. He was right, I was sore and not a dry spot on me. Day was done, steer stem bent, but it was spectacular! (Taking one ofr the team) so everyone can have a laugh.

I tried it with mine in third gear and I could hydroplane for a little bit, then it would start shaking on me. I had paddle tires on and I think the reason it started shaking was because of my front end being wider than my rear. I have off-set rims. I could hydro easy in shallow water, but when it was deep, my front end started shaking. I plan on trying again when I get my wider axle. I have some video of when I tried. I will try to post it.

I think you need to lockup the front wheels when you hit the water but I'm not sure.

one day i was being really stupid and i tried it on my kodiak. i was going about 45 or 50 down this hill and there was a littles drain pond at the bottom. i put it in 4X4 and gunned it and as soon as i hit the water the quad rolled over twice and threw me about 20 feet off the the side of the pond.

Here are the clips of me trying to hydroplane.
Trying a deep puddle and my front end shakes
Going over shallow puddles

I plan on trying it again with my new axle that is wider. Hopefully that stops the shaking. And hopefully I won't be such a wuss and just go faster.
