Need Help Removing Blaster Axle...
#1
Hey all,
I need to remove the Axle from my Blaster, but can't seem to budge the lock nuts.
Does anyone know, what size wrench I would need or what would be the best to use ( I tried a LARGE pair of pliers and a monkey wrench) and do the nuts each rotate in a different direction? If so which rotates in which direction? Thanks!! Frank.

put some anti size spray on the nut. let it soak in then get the stongest ratchet you got and the right size socket and put it in gear and get the mother off. and what lock nuts are you talking about.

Hey man, Thanks for the reply. I did soak those suckers in some anti seize spray..But I am talking about the lock nuts on the axle, to the left of the rear sprocket..No way to put a socket on it. Anyone else have any suggestions, I need some help!!!! Thanks, Frank.

use the monkey wrench, but you have to pull up on the nuts, not push down. I had to get a pipe and put it on the monkey wrench to get enought power and leverage in order to take my axle off my Raptor. Just put it in gear and pull up hard. Remember though, VERY IMPORTANT!!!! DO NOT HIT THE THREADS ON YOUR AXLE DIRECTLY WITH A HAMMER!! If you do, it'll be a huge pain in the *** and a trip to the machine shop to get it fixed. You learn from experience dude.

hey truth, just noticed you said blaster axle nuts are on the left side of the quad. This would mean you have to turn DOWN instead of up to loosen those axle nuts. They are in fact regular right hand thread, which means clockwise tightens, and counter-clockwise loosens. You may have heard righty tighy, lefty loose-y. Hope I caught you in time before you try to turn down and curse the thing to death!
