That is correct !!!!!!!! you must RECIEVE the gift before it becomes yours. God offered His Son as a free gift but you must receive Him before he is yours. Another way it is said is in John 3:3 when Jesus says "you must be born again."

The Bible says "and the truth will set you free."
Instead of slamming everyone why don't you read the book that everyone is refering to and prove us wrong? Many of others have tried and came to know Christ in a personal through their study.
