Default raptor, alcohol, stock carbs. How?

I have run out of bolt on mods. I have a filter, aluminum airbox, pipe, Dyna CDI. Now I am getting an Edelbrock carb for general riding, but I want to turn my old stock carbs into alcohol burners for dragging.

1) will alcohol in a stock engine add any power?
2) what mods do I make to the carbs?
3) what about Nitromethane? I know that alcohol works best with high compression, and I think nitro works better with lower compression? Will the right mixture of the two work OK with stock compression?
4) do you use ethanol or methanol? Where do you buy it?

Any other suggestions, other than dumping $1-5000 into my engine?

Yeah I would talk to AZSand before trying a 50% nitro blend. Not saying it can't be done, I don't know but it sounds pretty high. I tried to find all the info I could off the net on Nitro. Just about all youcan find is on, like air said, model car/plane engines, some boat stuff too. When I get mine dialled in on gas I will be switching to alky/nitro blend.

Does anyone know, do the NHRA Top Fuel dragsters run 100% Nitro or do they run a Nitro/alcohol mix?

I figure if I can get 5 hp or more by just changing my fuel, why not?

Has anyone thought that maybe that original Sparks Raptor at FSW1 was running Nitromethane? I think I remember someone saying that its exhaust smelled really strange. Just a thought.

Yes Top Fuel-ers run nitro methane and boy is that some nasty **** to breathe in. Know from experiance. The step down class is Top alcohol and I recall they run straight alcohol also. I think I heard that last year at the NHRA nationals but could be mistaken.

Top Fuel uses 90% nitro 10% methanol, part to the Top alcohol class allows for running 100% nitro, but it is an injected motor with not supercharger or nitrous allowed
