Default Griz Tire Question

Hi,
I would like to replace the stock Dunlops that came on my 2003 Grizz 660, I would appreciate any suggestions in what others have put on there machine. I ride a mix of Hard trail and some mud.
Thanks for any info
Joel

Default Griz Tire Question

I just replaced the tires on my Grizz with ITP 589 M/S 26-12-12 rear and 26-9-12 front and absolutely love them. They pull through mud much better. As far as trail riding goes I didn't notice any improvement, but that's not what they're made for either. 589's are a mud tire, so if you do alot of trail riding you may want to consider something a little less aggressive, but if you do alot of mud riding, then I highly recommend them. Hope this helps. You might try 589 M/T (mud/trail) as opposed to M/S (mud/snow)

Default Griz Tire Question

Thanks for the reply, I am thinking that a straight mud tire might be a bit much? but I have sure noticed that the stock dunlops don't like the mud. I was wondering what out there was a good combination tire, and one that works well on the Grizz.
Thanks again
Joel

Default Griz Tire Question

I've got a set of 27" Claws that use at times, but I'm figuring on replacing my stockers eventually with something. I like the looks of the ITP radials, but I'll probably end up with Bear Claws. They are a good all around tire, and don't weigh a whole lot in 25". Also looked at Sur Tracs and All Tracs in that size too.

If I didn't have the Claws at all, and just had one set of tires on stock rims, I would probably have 26-12 Sur Trac rears and 26-10 Spider Trac fronts.

i'd highly recommend the titan 589 mt's from nebraskatire.com. they are blems, but they are only 35 bucks a tire!!! that's where i got mine. no problems with them other than they grind the name off the sidewall.
