Default my blaster beating a warrior?

Guys this forum is the best because i can ask pro riders and other people about stuff like this. Ive got a 97 blaster, my friend has a warrior. I need to beat him because he talks so much $hit. he told me today i would have to put like 7000 into my blaster to beat his warrior! LOL I dont think so, his warrior has a FMF megamax(crap),Kand N air filter, Gator tires(crap for racing, but awsome in the mud!), Jetted, and he just ordered a stage 1 racing cam. My blaster is stock but im going to work it out so i can beat his A$$ 100 times and laugh in his face. Can you guys please give me some advice about gearing, boring, pipes, and any other hints on how to beat him. I hope i dont have to spend to much.

Oh ya i have 18" tires that can on it when i bought it, is this a good size?

Thanks alot guys,
Mark

Hey my name is Mark also, I would have to say what 2000IAWarrior said, even coming from a warrior owner, my friend has a blaster with fmf fatty/silencer setup, reed spacers and maybe 1 or 2 other things, he has 20in tires, and I bet he could stick with that warrior, it also depends on how good of a rider each of you are, but no matter how many mods you put on, you will never beat him if you keep talking bad about him and his quad, and no you wont have to invest $7000 maybe just a little over $12,000 (j/k)

Alright hope I helped

I wasn't talking bad about his quad, $hit i love it i ride it all the time, but he just thinks that everything of his can beat everyone elses, im only 15 and he is 20 but i would say we are about the same skill level because i ride alot more then him.

Any suggestions about front and back sprockets?

Any suggestions on a bore kit ?

Any suggestions on a pipe ive heard toomey is the best, is this true?

thanks again

Eh, your kinda screwed. Im guessing the stage 1 cam is probably something like a 420 or a 430. Thats going to give him around 24 or 25 hp. The only way your getting that much is with porting. You wont need as much to beat him though. You will only need around 22 or 23 to be equal because of the weight difference. you can get more compression and light porting to keep up. If he ups his compression though your going to need more porting. Blasters and warriors are about equal with the blaster gettin a little cheaper to mod towards the top of the performance spectrum because its 2 stroke.

*edit* I hear toomeys are only good on stock motors. You may have a major advantage if he is 20 though, light weight is a HUGE advantage.

One thing you have to remember, stock machines are slow and slow to break, hot rods are fast and fast to break.
That 40hp 240kit it probably the biggest bang you can get out of a blaster. If you just want to beat your friend though, get the head shaved (cheap). And get it ported (~200-400 bucks??? I dunno Im a banshee person and its 2 cylinders).
