O ya and there not GLUED on there melted on i havent ever seen one come off even when people peal out on pavment. but thats just me I only go to the dunes 3-4 times a month......
I have never heard of that , so if you have hp you dont have to worry about side hilling with straight blades ?

Man we have some real critics here today. The paddles are actually vulcanized on to the tire and I've seen them come off, not to often but it does happen and they can be repaired.
He asked for the "best" tires not the cheapest he can get around on.

It's been a long hot week and on top of that I almost went to blows with some ahole that cut me off and then slams on his breaks right on the side of the freeway. I'm just a little edgie.

I don't know what you have dome to your quad but on my piped Raptor I run 8 paddle 22x11x10 Extreme Haulers.
IMO they are the best tire for sand.
yes they can make it difficult to turn, but I run Mohawks on front & mine turns fine (it turns even better since I put on +3 wheel spacers in the rear & +2 +1 a arms on front) with stock front tires it will be hard to turn.
I have seen paddles come off Haulers, but every one who has lost a paddle was running less than the 5psi min recomended pressures.
That allows the paddle & carcass to deform under acceleration & can rip off paddles.
I used Haulers on my 250R & Extreme Haulers on my Raptor, that's several years experiance with dunes & drags & have not ripped a paddle runing 5 psi.

The 22" tall tires give me extra ground clearance & taller gearing which works well in dunes & drags (stock 14~40 gearing)
20" tall tires seem to cause high centering & will dig holes worse than 22's
Don't over paddle!!! more paddles than needed will cause your quad to lugg or bogg in higher gears.

I would go with the Haulers it's all I've ever used and they have never let me down. 10 paddle is a bit much unless you have some extra power to push them....which a slightly modded Raptor does not. Getting front sand tires is up to your wallet...you don't have to have them but they look cool and do make turning a little bit easier.

PS. It's gett'n a bit hot to go dune'n....take lots'a water.

I've never seen a paddle come off a tire, maybe people in black sand have more of a problem then people that ride in regular sand. My dad rides with 20" 10 paddles regular haulers and he dosen't have a problem at all so i'm not shure why people say it luggs you down. FsT4WrD you don't have to worry side hilling because you have so much tossing you forward, but if your luggin the **** outa it then your going to have a problem.......

hondaracer305,
Roosters & Geckos are a compromise tire, they will work in the sand but no where as good as a Hauler will.
Big bore quads spin them too hard to get great traction.
Edges would be a better option than Roosters or Geckos IMO.

Ugintel,
Well maybe lugging & bogging was too strong of words to use when talking about over paddleing, I ran back to back with 8 & 10 paddle 22x11x10 Haulers, launching wasn't a problem, I gained 1/10th in the 60' times but lost 2/ 10ths in 100 yards with the 10 paddles, when I shifted in to 3rd I lost more revs than with the 8 paddles, that causes a loss in wheel speed & slowed me down.
