I just made that decision myself. I went with the grizzly.
rincon: its a honda(a plus in my book), doesn't use a belt, can't adjust suspension, less power, less carrying and towing capacity, doesn't come with skidplates, uses drum brakes, the one I looked at didn't have any sort of a hitch. Its late so I might have missed something obvious.
grizzly: uses belt( I'm not fond of them), can adjust suspension, more power, more carrying and towing capacity, disc brakes, comes with skidplates, had hitch on it, differential lock, power hook up.
I'm sure the rincon is a good machine(honda), but, I felt the grizzly offered so much more. I'm not a utility expert, but, these are things that I felt were important.

I have the Grizz and I would take it again, but only for 2 reasons. I like the diff-lock and the full disc brakes.
Now if the grizz didn't have these or the Hondu did have them, I would get the Honda. Can't stand the belt drives at all. No problems, just that I don't prefer them.
Basically, I wish Honda would wake up and add full discs and a locker or Yamaha offer a manual shift Grizzly.

honda's are still built well, but so are all the other makes! in my opinion, people who buy honda are either brand loyal or so afraid that another make will break, that they buy a honda & get a lot less quad!

I do agree that Honda is the only manufacturer that can get away with less options and still meet their sales expectations. Dear god everyone has had at least front disc brakes on their 350 and up 4x4's since 1999. Except of course, Honda.

I can't directly compare the two quad from experience, but I just bought an '03 grizzly and I will tell that I am very impressed so far. I went riding the day I got it and racked up 83 miles without even realizing it. It is by far the smoothest riding, most capable ATV I have ever been on. The Grizz has the front diff lock, 11.8" of ground clearance, hi-lo range, while the Rincon has the dreaded "3-wheel drive", less ground clearance, and a hi range tranny. I was actually deciding between the same two ATV's two weeks ago and decided to go with the Yamaha. I feel that you will not go wrong with either since both have a proven name. I would go with the honda if more sport related trails are your desire, while go with the Grizz if a locking front diff and a dual range tranny is required for more low end torque is required with maximum traction. I have gotten the grizz up to near 70 and am told from experience that the Grizz has more power. The only issue that I am skeptical about for the Grizz is the long term reliability of the belt drive through water.
