might of broke something....

My friend and I were riding today and when we were done we went to our friend small track he built. It has a few little jumps a humps and what I would call a washboard. When we left I noticed the rear of my quad felt a little spongie. Got home and checked it, push down on the rear grab bar and you can hear the shock hiss as it goes up and down.
Do you guys think that it would be covered under the factory warrenty??
If it is not which is the most affordable rear shock that would be better than the stock unit?

I don't think you shock is broken because mine does the same thing. There is an adjustable **** on the shock, change the position to see if anything happens. This changes the rebound on the shock from quick to slow. Hope this helps.

I can use one hand to push down and fully compress the suspension. The it hiss on the way back up. It had never done that untill yesterday after we went riding. When you set on it the suspension fully compresses. Never did that before that day. That is why I think the shock is toast.
$421.99 for Works quadstar rear shock ( rockymountainatv.com, DennisKirk wants more! ). That is completely insane. I just bought 4 struts and a set of factory 1.25 inch lowering springs for my Neon, $390.
I will sell the quad or trade it in before I pay that much for a stinkin shock. Is there any out there any cheaper?
