ANYONE TELL ME WHAT A COOLHEAD IS ???
Is it what it sounds like, and how does it work, its on a shee that im interested in and thought I would check with you guys, PROS/CONS, and if its an ok deal to get this shee,
1991 YAMAHA BANSHEE, coolhead, new chin, ITP whls/tires, fmf pipes, nerf bars, enw bearings, lonestar rear hub, looks great, $2100

Sounds like an avg. price for a 91' depending on the acual condition. Pictures can be deceiving. THe cool-head is meant to lower the operating temp. of a motor by about 15-20 degrees, the main purpose of it though is to raise compression of your motor, which in turn means more low-end power. THere are really no cons besides the price. You can change your compression from drag bike to trail bike in about 30 mins. If you go over 165psi per cylinder you'll have to run at least 100 octane.

I would guess he means chain not chin?????????, or maybe he has visited the plastic surgeon lately.
A coolhead is a new head that has interchangable domes. They aid in the cooling, some better then others. And you can change the combustion chambers to gain or loose compression. They are a good mod.

Thanks guys, its real close to where I live so you dont think Ill lose out too much?? So more low end means better wheelies right[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] and if I would get a smaller front sprocket, or larger back, would that help me do wheelies?? The picture makes it look like its in really good shape, but I can take a look at it.
