What kind of grease for Raptor zerks?
WD40 should clean off the chain really well, and it will definately work to protect it from rust temporarily. The drawback to WD40 is that it attracts dirt like you wouldn't believe, and it might cause the O-rings in the chain to deteriorate...
If you need to ride it between now and when you get new "non-tacky" lube, just put some fresh motor oil on the chain instead. Make sure you don't use any other kinds of grease or anything, it can cause the rubber o-rings in the chain to deteriorate.
When you do get some good "non-tacky" chain lube, get some kerosene and a toothbrush, and scrub the chain before you put on the new lube to get all the grit and oil off. Otherwise the new lube won't stick.
