Default 12 tooth sprocket on raptor

I'm thinking of dropping down to a 12 tooth sprocket, through what gears will this give me the most gain? I can fairly easily pull up 3rd gear wheelies, I would like to be able to pull up in 3rd and possibly 4th a little easier, does the 12 tooth give extra torque that high up in the gears? Thanks

I have the 12 tooth on right now and i can pull wheelies up into fourth gear, i just have to pull up a little harder but other than that it is great to have that much torque... First and second gear will be the most gains!!

You should have no problem getting a 4th gear wheelie with the 12t sprocket............with a little clutch I can do that now..........and I have a 14t...........

you will be able to tell a pretty big difference in the gearing.....it will have much more torque........better watch 1st and 2nd gear when you are accelerating hard or you will end up on your back.........

I think a 42 in the rear would be better, a 43 would be the same as a 12 in the front. It's better to put on a larger rear if you have the clearance than to go smaller on the front.

sixsixt-
i was wondering why adding more teeth to the back would be more benefitial?
i dont really want to wheelie all the time,i'm looking for hillclimbing speed.which do you recommend?

A smaller front sprocket will wear out the chain faster and robs a little power because the chain has to go around a smaller diameter.
For hillclimbing and torque you want bigger rear (or smaller front). For top speed and less torque you want a smaller rear (or bigger front).
For tight trails, hills and dunes a 42 or 43 is about right with a 13 front.
