Default Tie Rod Bolt spinning with nut

Hi, im putting my newly powder coated frame back together (looks sweet!!!!) and ran into a problem with the tie rod bolt. I'm tring to put the nut on the bolt that the tie rod is on (pivoting bolt) and the bolt spins with the nut when i try to tighten the nut. There is no where i can see to hold the bolt in place, can anyone tell me what to do or what is going on here? thanks

Well.. off the top of my head, one of two things is happening. The threads on either the rod end or the nut are messed up. Or you're not getting the taper on the rod end seated tight enough into the steering arm to keep it from turning.

Make sure that the threads are ok and that everything snugs up by hand ok. If they do, then try and get a pair of channel lock pliers to squeeze the rod end into the steering arm and then tighten the nut.

After being used for a while, the rod ends loosen up and it becomes harder to keep them from spinning while installing the nut.

Hope this helps!

i had the same problem on my kodiak and thought i was fuct.
it seems that the ball joint bolt doesn't spin when seated proper on the steering knuckle. good luck
