Don't have my manual with me. I'm still on my first tank of gas for my 2003 warrior. Gonna go riding in a bit and need to get some gas. What kind of gas do I need to put in it? Is regular OK or should I get the middle/premium?

IMO premium is best. Just don't put beer in the tank!

Premium is worth the money when you're not buying that much of it (like in a car). And there is a noticable difference in power too.

You are joking, right? The difference in the grades of pump gasoline is simply an octane rating. The higher the octane, the higher the gasoline's resistance to pre-detonation. Nothing more. It will not make more power in the same machine than the manufacturers suggested gasoline. It will just cost you more.

The exceptions come when the up-level gasolines have additional detergents and such in them. The are better for your engine, but still will not make any more power at all.

What maddog said is right on. In fact, you will get the most horsepower available by using the lowest octane rating that is safe in your engine. The lower the number, the easier it is to explode/burn in the cylinder. A new stock warrior should run fine with 87 octane.

Also, running high octane gas in an engine that is not designed for it may lead to a buildup of deposits inside the cylinder, or so I have heard.
