Raptor and Banshee will take the new Yamaha 450
ok, my grandfather helped desigh the raptor and and the new yamaha, we dont really talk to often. but this weekend he had called my dad and asked to talk to him, i asked wut they toped the new quad out at, he said 74.3mph, not quite as fast as the raptor and the banshee, he also told that a stock Banshee will beet a stock rator. but by a c*nt hair.he said the 450 ecels faster than the Banshee and the Raptor but not by much, he said the they tested it against the shee and rappy and the shee and rappy were neck and neck but 450's back tires were just ahead of the rappy and shee's front tires. but the handeling is no competion. this quad will slauter a TRX250R, or 450

huh, thats some good info. Now do you knwo if they where doing that in the dirt, or sand. I have always heard , and experienced that the raptor is faster in the dirt, but the banshee was faster in the sand. Not by much on either part. I own both, and now will own a yfz in 2 weeks or so. From what I have personally seen, the raptor is faster (stock) in the dirt, then a (stock) banshee. But, when you go out to the banshee's neck of the woods (dunes) it flip/flops. The banshee is definately a dune quad, and the raptor is definately not!. I'll be curius to see how the yfz compares to both of my current quads.
It does not suprise me though, that the raptor is going to have a little more top end. That yfz is geared for racing (short), whcih can all be changed. 1 tooth in the back will probably make up for most of it!
